Fenderphil: I have Attached a pic of a band I played lead for in Canada, we had two females both very good. Left hand picture top is myself a female tenor sax player and just beyond her a female keyboard and bass player. and of course Rolf Harris

I have always been impressed by the guitar playing of Bonnie Raitt. She's got killer slide skills.

Joan Armatrading is also a great guitar player, and an awesome song writer.
