hi, i have been given a mexican fender stratocaster a while ago and i want to sell it on to buy another one, but im having serious trouble determining which strat i have. the headstock is original but it says fender in large writing and at the top of the head it says squier series in smaller writing, all the squiers ive looked at are written larger and i havnt managed to find one like mine,
it is black and has vintage style tuners, the serial number is MN554911 IT SAYS MADE IN MEXICO.
please can anyone help me find out its value or infact which website i need to go on.
i am selling it to buy a lefty strat for my partner as a suprise present its driving me mad
hope someone can help, i can send pictures if required,

I think this is one of the first squier strats, they said fender in big lettres and squier in small lettres.
I fyou look on ebay a guy posted an informative strat ID piece on there that can probably help you .
