I didn`t post that much during the last two weeks, `cause i was busy learning...
I`m coming to the point: I`ve found this Tube Works Blue Tube on Ebay, and felt spontaniously attracted, in a GAS-like sense, to that little thing. Did anyone of you ever get in touch with one of these?

think. Do you have audio recordings? Video recordings? Study them as objectively as possible and feel free to compare the performance with world class acts (after all they set the standard).
After you have a good handle on how you feel about the singer, then you can start listening to armchair critics.
Oh yeah, the Blue Tube is cool. Kind of a like the preamp of an old Fender amp. At lower gain settings it can give you some of that 60s tube amp thing in your sound and at higher gain settings some nice thick distortion. Question is do you need that?
And what

About the blue Tube:
Well i don`t think that i need it to thicken up the sound of the SVT, maybe for occasinal distortion, but i think it would have a positive influence on the sound of my ampeg B100R, because, combined with my MIM Jazz, it`s nice, but the difference between the B100R an the SVT is too big for me, the B100R has a nice sound for a transistor amp, bt it is a bit too clean.

I have a blue tube.
I love it. It works great when used in moderation. I use it mostly for recording anything that might need a tube preamp (bass, guitar, vocals) but it is a tad noisy. Depending on the type of music you play this may not be an issue.
The distortion is pretty good but I think it works best when pushing your amps preamp as opposed to being a stand alone `effect`.
