I am pretty new to the amp world but are there any harp players on here that could answer a tube replacement on a 59 bassman. My question is; I've been told that if I replace my 12ax7 tube w/ a 12au7 tube I could get a much fatter sound when blowing through my amp. Is this true? And if so, which tube is replaced? I was told replaceing the wrong one would srew up my amp...

I also heard the same thing. I will try to find out which tube it is that should be replaced. I'll be back...
