The 2mm are correct, obviously I mixed something up by converting to imperial units (-:
I had the neck fixed by a professional on Friday evening. It cost me 12
Euros and was worth every cent because he discovered a problem with the truss rod nut. He found out that the nut on the truss rod is nearly 'round' and had a hard time getting some grip on the nut with a hexagonal wench. He said that the nut should be replaced and that is where the trouble starts )-:
Normally the guitar should be exchanged for a new one by either the manufacturer or the dealer. The problem is that I bought the guitar on ebay in the US and the guitar is not available in Germany where I live.
Anyway the luthier who fixed the neck said that the nut has probably been damaged by exerting too much force on it. He strongly suspects the dealer and said that this was probably the reason why he sold the guitar on ebay.
I can't really tell. The dealer who sold the axe has been selling guitars on ebay for quite some time and had but only two negative ratings. The truss rod cover looked untouched, too. So, I will probably ask the Cort distributor in Germany if they are willing to replace the guitar anyway.
The luthier said that if I can't get the guitar replaced he could try to exchange the nut. The risk would be that if the nut doesn't come off properly that he probably won't be able to put it back on the truss rod without removing the fretboard which would cost twice as much as the guitar.

I really don't know what to do at the moment )-: Any recommendations?

The guy who helped me used a hex wench that was slightly too big to fit in the nut. He then grinded (sanded?) away the tip bit-by-bit until the wench fitted very tightly into the nut. That did the trick.

Perhaps you could use a hand mirror to check if the nut is stipped.

Sorry for the mistakes but this discussion is a bit technical and pushing the limits of my vocabulary (-;

All in all the guitar has cost me around 600 Euros. The luthier said if he can remove the nut it will cost me 50-100 Euros to exchange it. If it doesn't come off properly and he must remove the fretboard it will cost something like 1200 Euros )-:
