I've got a Univox strat clone. Seems pretty much like the Strat in every way but the 3 humbuckers. I'm trying to loosen the bullet-type truss rod adjuster to get a little relief to the neck. Assuming it adjusts like a Strat, looking down into the hex hole in the bullet, do
I turn counter clockwise?

RG, you've gotta get some better web hosting. I tried to check out your site and was immediately greeted by no less than six popup ads. Try to close them, more pop ups. Try to hit another page to your site, *more* pop-ups. I finally had to bail.

Sounds like a back bow. The rod is only a piece of steel with threads on one end. Tightening it compresses wood, loosening it past "loose" doesn't do anything.
If you've got it so loose it just spins, then it won't have any effect.

Well, if crime fighters fight crime and fire fighters fight fire, what do freedom fighters fight? They never mention that part to us, do they?

Thanks. That's what I've done. It feels right too (no resistance as there might be when tightening). I've put about two complete turns on it at this point with no visible change. I've given it a couple days to sit. I'm wondering what's going on. The bullet was off it when I got it. I wonder if it's somehow not engaging whatever it needs to to loosen the truss rod. I'm about ready to try some heavy strings to see if I can get it to flex a little that way.

You might have some backbow in the neck, in which case heavy strings, and a fairly humid environment for a few months might be in order.
