I'm doing the neck pu mod soon (push/pull switch) to have the neck/bridge sound and all three. I'm replacing a tone pot with the switch. After this there's one extra tone pot left and I'm just not a fan of the tone control's flabby bass and crusty highs. if I wanna change my tone I'll use an eq pedal or switch PUs. What should I replace this leftover tone pot with?

(forgot to add) maybe something to boost gain... But it doesn't have to be that. just as long as it's something that's actually useful. Thanks

Hay StratBoy From Some Place or No Place:
The selection of what you put in the other tone pot space is entirely up to you and what you think you may need.... I will suggest that you put a kill switch in there if you play songs that need it. I have left my Strat's pretty much well enough a lone with the exception of changing out the pickups, but my son has installed a kill switch on his Schecter and says it's useful.... although I fail to see why (palm mute would work too) but he's a Metal Head and I'm a soft classic rock n roll type myself.

Also, you could check out <guitarcenter.com> and see what they have to offer that you could incorporate into your guitar. I hope this helps out, but in reality it's what you need and not what others think you need or what might be useful to you....

Good Luck,
kcbuck
