Hi, first post here.. I have a beautiful little MIJ Squier Strat that I bought new ages ago. Its serial is SQ11590 so I think it's about '83 or so. After messing around with it on and off and a recent shield & rewire (that has made it so quiet I can turn my amp on and my dog stays asleep, there's just no hum!) I've decided to do it some justice and set it up properly (for the first time ever??!). But I can't seem to find anything out there that will tell me its neck radius. Can you tell this from its serial no? It has a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard if that helps. Thanks!

Hi Paddyo "Welcome" Nice to have you visit us.....I have enclosed a link where you can make your own radius gauge in about 10 minutes for all radii.

Here is the link for you...If you don't have a printer let me know and I will tell you how to make one that you can draw.

Thanks! I'll make one and measure it tomorrow, then post the result in case someone else is interested.

Really appreciate your help, cheers.

In case anyone else is looking for the same information, the fingerboard radius on my MIJ Squier SQ Strat (serial SQ11590) is a deliciously curvy 7.25". Some pics are attached so you can see if you have the same baby.

Thanks Fender Phil for the template link. I pasted the printout to a business card and cut that out - worked like a charm.

Cheers

Hi Paddyo...Looks very nice...Glad the template worked for you, I did mine as individual gauges onto old credit cards. Another thing you can do with it is to do the gauge radius and make the whole thing about 1/4" wide (Follow same radius on bottom edge)to use as a guide to use as an understring radius gauge for setting bridge radius. as per the attached picture
