I have a squier strat. Standard 3 single coil pickups. Cheap guitar..yes, but I've grown to love the feel.I want to take out the single coil in the bridge position and put in an evolution hummbucker. To do this I am clueless..... My thoughts are buy the hummbucker and a pickgaurd to match the set up and I'm ready to go. Can anyone give some advise on this mod??
Will the pickup fit???
Does this humbmbucker get wired in the same way the single coil was???
PLEASE HELP

depends on what your Squier looks like under the pickguard...if it's already routed for a double coil then you may be "ready to go"
That pickup would not be my choice for a strat but yes you wire it the same. Those have 4 conductor so they are probably split coil. It will come with 2 wires already tied together but you could add a push-pull vol pot switch or other switch(es) to tap the coil and get even more tone options.
