Hi. My first "real" guitar was a Fender F-65 acoustic dreadnought purchased sometime in 1979 or 1980. Sadly, I foolishly sold this keepsake (to me anyway) on eBay some time ago. I went through my old feedback and sent out emails trying to track it down but no luck. So although I cannot get the original back I would like to find another one just like it. It`s possible that I might have the model number wrong here. It might be a F-165 or a F-65, I can`t remember which. It was around a $300. guitar in its day and as such had laminate rosewood back and sides with a (laminate?) spruce top. It also had a rosewood fingerboard stained black with snowflake position markers. It was a nice looking guitar although the "abalone" detailing around the soundhole and body was just decals I`m sure.
I play a Martin now but I`d love to have one of these out on a stand for sentimental reasons and even to play once in a while.
Does anyone know where I could find one of these? I`d like to buy it if I can locate one of them. Thanks very much.

afraid. It is indeed a nice guitar. Definitely not high-end by any stretch of the imagination, but just solidly-built, nearly indestructible, and with a good feel and a nice tone. The action is high but it`s still easy to play all the way up to the 16th fret. The tone is not comparable to a nice Martin or Guild, but it still sounds great. to a really nice Guild jumbo, but I will never part with my F-65 - the sentimental value is just too high!

I`m looking for an old Fender F-65 acoustic. Anyone have one they`d like to sell or know where I can find one? I used to have one years ago (around 1980) and I`d like to find one just like it. Thanks!
