I just picked up a Samick Les Paul LSE450
Bolt-on neck, for 165.00 w. hard case.
It's just for use as an extra guitar. I mainly use strats so I was looking for a different sound. I know that Samick makes many of the guitars for major companies. Is there own label guitars any good? This model is not made any longer, it's about 8 yrs. old, so I really couldn't get much info...just a couple of reviews from Harmony
Central...I don't even know if I got a fair price....
Does anyone here use or ever owned one of these? Any info.
appreciated..

Young love is a flame; very pretty, often very hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. The love of the older and disciplined heart is as coals, deep burning, unquenchable. - Henry Ward Beecher, 1813 - 1887

I have a AV-3 "Greg Bennett Series" Samick Les Paul I picked up last September for $200 (no case)
It was sold as "used" but was looked like it just came out of the box, and still had the plastic covering on the pickgard.
I'd say the AV-3 is equal to an Epiphone Les Paul Standard that costs a few hundred more (both made by Samick)
For the money, I think it's a really good guitar in comparison to others in the price range. How do you like the sound and feel of yours?

It is a good guitar. But the body is alder, not mahagony which make as difference in the sound.
