I have a Roland VGA-7 amp, a VG-88 and a GR-33.

I want to configure the gear together. I have a GFC-50 foot controller that has an A/B option, but can't think of any way to run my GK Fender to the AMP and have both the VG-88 and the GR-33 available to either run separately or together without having to buy a Roland US-50 foot controller as well.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to get the guitar->gfc-50->both VG-88 and GR-33->VGA7 without having to scrounge a US-50?

Any advice, layout diagrams, etc. would be SERIOUSLY appreciated!

Thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott - welcome to the forum I hope you will like it here.

Hmmm I am not all that savvy about these things but it looks to me as if that is what you will probably have to do. I am sorry, this is what I can find about it when inquiring. Never having faced this myself I obviously cannot give you advice based on experience

I solved the problem. I snagged the US-20 unit selector (I meant US-20 not US-50 in the original email). I figure to run it like this:

Roland Ready Strat-> Roland US-20 (which has the VG-88 and GR-33 connected) -> Roland GFC-50 -> Roland VGA-7.

This allows me to bypass the GR-33 and VG-88, use them seperately or together, and then control the US-20 to the AMP via the A/B pedal. That way, if I want, I can play straight to the AMP, and patch off of the GFC-50, or I can also throw in the GR-33 and/or the VG-88.

It will be one crazy-sick Roland configuration!! When I get it all connected, I'll post pictures.

Peace.

Scott, that would be great. Sorry I misunderstood you in my previous posting and thanks for this info (who knows who else this might be beneficial to)

You need a GKP-4. I run the GFC midi in. Dont bother with anything on the back of GFC. into the amp. The GKP to GR-20 and the VGA and any other GK devices.
