I am thinking about designing a new pedalboard to construct. I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions based on how their pedalboards are constructed or laid out? Does anybody have any "wishlist" ideas of things they would like to see incorporated into a design. Any size requirements or shapes come to mind? Look forward to hearing all of your comments, ideas, and wishes.

"Joe Gidcumb" fell for this old hogwash:
Guitar--> amp. The pedal is the channel switch on the Mesa.
But in the old days, it was always (right to left) Volume, Wah, SIB Varidrive, Line 6 Modelers (2). On a small riser just behind the main pedals was the channels switch and a tuner. George L cables all around on the board. The whole board itself was a trapezoidal box when seen from the side profile. The inside was accessible by a panel on the audience side that exposed the cavity containing the power supplies and extra cable slack. Its a little bulkier than some, but I got it for free. e

Make sure to give it a elevated second row type thing for the back pedals. After really packing the pedals onto the self-made board I have now, I find it`s a real bitch to try quickly hitting the back pedals without disturbing the settings of the front pedals. If the back pedals are raised like in store bought pedal boards, or well thought out homemade boards, it is much easier to hit all the pedals quickly and see off/on lights at a glance. I just may spring for a pro pedal board after all. It would be nice to have a tough, aluminum reinforced case that pops open. For some reason, right now I`m into cases; guitar, pedal board, cables, mixers. I want all that shit in tough, well made cases. I don`t want to think about the possiblity of damage. I`ve got too much money in my gear.
