Hi
I have been playing guitar for 7 years now, but only playing by ears and mainly Latin Ballads in with the high school band. I have a real passion for music, and feel I need some music theory to understand my favorite music style, which is post hardcore, and I have no Idea where to start ...Please point me in the direction of books, or tutorials or websites that will help me understand the mechanics behind the music.
Thanks

Hi Heidi, I have assumed you may live in America and so have looked up some info with that in mind, also of course I do not know your personal level of understanding and so forgive me if this info is "To" basic for you.

Here are some sites to Visit and also there is "Music Theory for Dummies available" I'm not infering your a dummy, the fact you want to learn more would deny that.
