Hi
I am learning to play the guitar and have a problem with my fingers on the left hand.
When the fingers are bent to make cords, the nails always touch the fret first, even when it is really short) The only way I manage is to go a bit sideways and bar whatever fret is prior to the one pressed - Any advice anyone? Please?

Hi Clarence. The obvious is always keep your nails short, then make sure you fret a little further behind the fret. In addition provided you are chord side of the fret being on top of the fret doesn't really affect things unless you go over the fret onto the next position.

Just check out this guy's technique. ha ha.
