Hi
I have been looking to upgrade to a steel block and perhaps the saddles as well, so I wanted to know - Are the Mexican Fender string saddles made of steel, or are they die cast?

Hi Johnathon, With Mexican strats they are built to a low end cost and naturally therefore do not have excellent quality parts I know at one time a zinc mixture was used.not sure about diecast though..However if you are upgrading get a really good quality steel kit you will not believe the difference in sound and sustain.
