Does anybody know of any websites or books, with a decent explanantion of medieval scale shapes / patterns that can be used on guitar?

Thanks Chris, that'd be great if you could ask your wife. I am really getting into experimenting with different scales, modes and tunings at the moment. we've just written a really odd song that's a cross between a folky thing and Sonic Youth, so I am experimenting with different scale ideas and patterns for the guitar solo at the end.
