Does anybody know anything about Music Drive guitars?
Lots of people act well, but few people talk well. This shows that talking is the more difficult of the two.

I have the LPBB. Weighs a ton! Very well made indeed. I know nothing about the company though.

Welcome here, Billkruse - I hope you will enjoy this forum

Les Paul Black Beauty is made by Gibson and that manufacturers are even having tours of their factories (I read at this site of theirs) in Memphis

Hey PCH,

I've got an MD guitar too - It's really awesome... well made, great action and really cool sunburst colour with a Wilson tremelo.

I'd also like to find out more about the company. I bought mine from Rikaxxe Music in Bristol in Nov 2003 - I was told that it was a Metal Drive guitar? Don't know if that's right.

Hopefully someone knows the answer to this mystery.

Hi Slash,

Thanks for the reply. After doing some searching - I found a pic of their logo which matches my guitar. http://www.vintaxe.com/catalogs_japanese_md_2000.htm
Apart from the MD logo on the headstock and the wilkinson tremelo there's no other branding.
Some people/posts have linked them to Ibanez - don't know how true that is - I could believe that though. It looks like an Ibanez (Superstrat) and is damn well made.

Hmmm, looks like they removed the MD (Music Drive) logo.
Probably have to pay them $10 to see that too.

It's a pity. I am searching the internet now but not a whole lot of info is available concerning that logo - is here?

Just got my hands on a 2 year old MD Revelation. It's a black beauty LP copy and it's been modded with Seymour Duncan's, and a roller bridge. The sound is better than my epiphone LP which I have had from new, by a country mile. (The epiphone is pukka not a chinese copy btw.) These are well made in Korea and I have not seen another advertised used anywhere. If anyone has any further info please post.
