What I am looking for is a good clean tone and a good heavy distortion tone but the more i turn those knobs the more everything goes out of whack, does anyone have a good setting

Out of whack, HOW????? You ain't giving us much information to go on here.
Use your gain knob. Less gain equals cleaner, more gain equals more distortion. The rest of the knobs are to balance the bass, middle and treble tone. Your car radio has bass and treble. Just add middle and pretend it's your car radio.
