i need to tune my squier strat so the open E and the 12th fret E are both in tune. how do I adjust my floating tremolo to attain this?

Hi Guest, This is a general problem with floating trems...Just keep going and see if you eventually get there, if not you will have to remove the back plate and adjust the trem springs, unless it has cut outs to access the screws withouth the back plate removal. If the new strings were heavier gauge than the others you will need to tighten the trem spring screws and vice versa.

Also there are probably instructional vids on "Youtube" or the likes.
