Hey All
I just purchased a squier affinity strat and amp, and am wondering how to get started with playing it. I have started following a beginners dvd I got with my kit, and am looking for recommendations for the next step!

Hi Allan, My personal advise is ask around and get a good teacher as you can't ask a DVD questions, If there is anything like charts or the like you might like, post that here and we will see what we can do to assist. Or you can Pm or email me personally I will be happy to help you in anyway I can.

Usually the local Accadamy of Music have a list of teachers so you can find one near you.
You may well find if you are a natural that only a few lessons will be needed, and then you can go from there.
