Go to Fender.com and e-mail Customer Relations. More than likely Jeff Krouse will reply. Ask him for the spec sheet on the guitar and the date and place of manufacture. He can supply all of the above from their records and usually replies within a day or two.

My serial number of Strat is E6775215.
Similar like your guitar. E + 7 digits.

Did you find your date?

OLO:
Your appears to be a "1989" per the Fender database. Sound about right?

Is this a original serial number of Fender guitar? I didn`t find that kind of number (E + 7 digits) in Fender database. It`s made in USA?

OLO:
The Fender database goes E7 plus 5 or 6 digits thereafter. I found it and that is how I determined it was a 1989 year model.

You can also e-mail Jeff at < This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it > and ask him;

1. When it was made (MM/DD/YYYY?,
2. Wher it was made, and
3. Ask for the original spec sheet for the guitar.

Good Luck,

Re: Fender Stratocaster American Standard 1989

Hi,
As I know, there were some strange serial numbers this period, previously I owned one Am. Standard with EE 102772 serial, and a friend of mine has an '89 with I + 7 digits. Original made in USA Strat.
Maybe you can send some photos about the guitar, I have some books about Strats, and I can check...

Cheers from Hungary

Howdy from Texas to you, Kalim in Hungary....
