To my knowledge there are two types of electric guitar, hollow body (arch top,
I think) and solid body. What is the difference in sound? Can you play a hollow body unplugged and make a reasonable amount of sound?
In general what is the difference between the two?

I had an ES-335 and an ES-175 that both gave me terrible feedback problems.
I ended up blowing up (black) balloons inside the F holes.
It helped some and didn't look bad.
I think the idea of the Lucielle not having any F holes is a great idea.
Are there any full body archtops with no F holes?
I also had an old Ovation Custom Legend that fed back.
Ovation makes sound hole plugs called "Back Buckers" that do the job well.

Are there alot of problems with feedback with a semi-hollow body?
I am considering something like a Danelectro Mod, which is semi-hollow but I don't want to have problems with feedback.

The older American made Ovation deep bowl acoustic/electric guitars are excellent.
They have been the standard for live gigs for decades.
You can find them on ebay often at affordable prices.
I owned 3 of them...
Custom Electric Balladeer (1973 or 1974) which was a very deep bowl called auditorium size.
1979 Custom Legend and a Glenn Campbell model.
I like the balladeer the best.
They still make a balladeer model but now they have shallow bowls.

I am considering getting another archtop in the future but I don't want to have to deal with the typical feedback problems.
I like the "Lucielle" but I don't like the thin body's.
I also would prefer P-90's.
