Hi
I have a couple of out door gigs coming up and I am worried about the effects of the weather on my guitar. I have a HSS American strat.
what do you think? are there any precautions I could take?
Thanks

Hi Danielle, If you play acoustic at all then yes weather can affect the guitar due to shrinkage or expansion...The only way to overcome it is to let it sit in your open case as soon as you reach the gig site Make sure its in tune then prior to the gig check that its still in tune then all should be o.k. I have played countless outdoor gigs but I have always played electric which are not affected anywhere like the acoustic. I played a strat for many years as well so no concerns in that department. It is extremes of temp that can affect things with acoustics.

Enjoy the gigs and above all have fun.
