I was given this by a failed 70s band member.

It is in very good condition with just a couple of scuffs on the back.

Made in Japan

Serial number T016398

I have looked all over but cannot find the serial number anywhere on websites to give me a clue.

Ebay has a really varied price range and I cannot pinpoint the exact model to get a comparison.

thanks in anticipaiton.......

The T in the serial number refers to it being a Tribute Series guitar. You can e-mail Fender <consumer relations> Jeff Krause and he will be able to answer your questions as to when it was made and the Tribute Guitarist and give an estimate of it's worth.

Actually kc, that's not quite correct.. This guitar is "Made in Japan" so it is likely a 94/95 vintage. The MIJ and T serial should be on the neck where it joins the body.
On the other hand if it says "Crafted in Japan" which I suspect it does then it is very new 2007 or 2008.
The "T" for Tribute preface is only for USA built guitars.
