Fender Telecaster Ashtray Cover

Hi Ya'll:
I have a 2008 Fender Standard Telecaster and would like to dress it up a little. Can anyone out there tell me or better yet provide me with a link where I can purchase an ashtray cover for the above 2008 Tele? I have looked all over the net and only found ones for vintage Tele's and the shape (a little concave in the upper center) doesn't look like it would fit mine which is all right angles.

Hmmmm that's strange I see what you mean. I also couldn't find an address you can purchase it. Perhaps a hole in the market?

I believe that maybe they stopped making the bridge cover as it really doesn't fullfil any useful function other than covering the bridge. I just want to dress my Tele up a little to make it look better and I thought the bridge cover would do it. Maybe my best bet is to buy a vintage bridge cover ($17.00) and see if I could adapt it to the modern bridge. Your thoughts on this?
