Was wondering what the standard neck width (where it bolts on) is on the
Fender basses, Jazz and Precision through the years, has it changed?

My late seventies schecter P bass and my 1977 Jazz bass both measure just shy of 2 1/2 inches at the heel,

Was there a difference between the Jazz and P bass?
I hate quotations. Tell me what you know.

Not at the heels...both are spec'd at 2.5"
