Hey guys and gals,
Check this bass out...I am interested in it...but where do you adjust the truss rod? I would be hard pressed to buy an almost $2,000 bass if you had to take the neck off to adjust the truss...does anyone own one of these and can confirm/deny that you have to take the neck off?

Maybe you should ask them?
Fender has so many similar-looking models anymore, how does anyone tell them apart?

I am having the same thing done to my Geddy Lee, in fact it is in the luthier's shop right now.
I don't want to have to do this though on an almost $2,000 bass if I can help it. I have seen some pics of this bass WITH the access by the joint, but I am not sure if this is a picture issue, or if the bass is actually like this.

Dunno. CS axes have a certain allure. I'd love to have one of their '54 RIs.

Sure looks like there's no headstock-end adjuster nut, nor a screwdriver head relief cut, not that the Fender relief cut was ever sufficient to prevent scratching up the pickguard. I had a '57 RI with a very tight neck joint (no cut on the aluminum pickguard) that was a real pain, but my early
80s MIJ Squier P is loose as a goose there and it's no big deal to loosen the strings and unscrew the neck to adjust the truss rod. Then again, I just got my first ice maker and I can't figure out what the big deal is with that. I never minded filling trays.

B/c it is Saturday, and Fender Customer Service blows, and that is supposed to be what this forum is for...unless you want me to start another flame war?
