I can buy a new Japanese Fender Jaguar (original colour) for 750 euros in
Holland. I was wondering if anybody has any experience with this guitar or knows more about the differences between the American or the Japanese models. The guy in the shop said they were great. Any other information on the guitar itself and the way it plays or any other information is welcome.
I play in a band that plays rock/pop music and have a Gibson Les Paul artist and was thinking of buying the Fender as a second guitar.

Cheers and thanks for any help!!!

I have a Jazzmaster but have never played a Jaguar. All I would say is, you will need to replace the bridge saddles with Fender Mustang ones, as they are without a doubt the worst designed part of any guitar in the history of the world! If you intend to gig with it you will really have to do this. See the post a bit above about Jazzmaster bridges!

Cheers and best wishes,

BTW: My Jazzmaster is Japanese and plays like a dream!

Meant also say that my Jazzmaster is Japanese and IMHO a better player as an instrument than the American Fender Strat I used to have! But again it's all opinion and I love Jazzmasters!

PS: 750 euros is not too much to spend on a guitar, I'd go for it, if you don't like it you can always sell it.
