I know it is authentic, because I was a professional guitar builder and repairman twenty years ago when I acquired it. I was the person who removed it from the bass itself.

It looks BRAND NEW, a true testament of the Fender company's ability to work with chrome! If you have an old Jazz bass, and want to "restore" it, then you must have this!

Man, the only way I'd buy a bridge ashtray is with the old rubber.

They had individual spring steel loaded felt mutes on the early Jazz Basses.
P-Basses had the black foam under the covers.

Carry the battle to them. Don't let them bring it to you. Put them on the defensive. And don't ever apologize for anything.

Where's the black sponge strip that mutes the strings just forward of the saddles? (or crusty remnants of it)
Didn't the early 60s J's have this?
I love Thanksgiving. It's the only time in Los Angeles that you see natural breasts.
