awhile. My all-time favorite chorus is an old AC-powered DOD 690, which gets the most beautiful liquid-sounding chorus I`ve ever heard.

And the fact that it has dual speed controls, and it ramps up or ramps down when you switch between them makes it even more incredible. Wow, what a pedal.

I have one. I recently sold both of my Danelectro Cool Cats because I like the FX65 so much. It puts out true stereo! If you haven`t listened to it in stereo, then do so! You will love it, the stereo separation is wonderful and it adds a whole new dimension to your sound. The innards are nothing fancy, just a good design. I love mine, I wouldn`t sell it for anything. $40? You got a great deal...well, in 1987 that might have not been that good a deal, but today $40 for it is a good deal.

The only think I don`t like is the piece of crap DOD membrane switch thing on it. If you took the guts out of the box and put it in another box with a real switch (and wire in true bypass while you are at it) you would have one killer pedal.
And speaking of tone sucking - I have a half dozen DOD pedals from that era, and none of them seem to suck tone. I run 7 DOD pedals in series, and the whole mess does not suck tone at all. At the time DOD made fairly decent pedals, even if they didn`t seem to get a clue about the on/off switch.

I`ve got the FX60 stereo chorus and it has the Bucket brigades; MN3007 and MN3101, beautiful sounding pedal for DOD. tv
