I`m a guitarist thinking of building my own volume and expression pedals (two seperate). Any one have any ideas on how to get started? The biggste problem seem to be, after doing a litlle research, to find a propper housing. The pots, jacks are no problem. Please don`t tell me to visit Radio Shack as I live in Denmark. The radio-equipment store I`ve already been to didn`t have any suitible housing for making an expression or volume pedal! BTW the expression pedal is meant for a UniVibe clone (the FoxRox Provibe in a Captain Coconut 2). Thanx

I have done this a couple of different ways, but I have not had time to do photographs and a "how-to" article. Some suggestions, depending on your taste for DIY and experience with tools and materials:

arrive. I am also wondering about constructing an expression pedal for it. I have been to the CC website where they discuss using several different expression pedals that you can buy. Is there any websites that specifically discuss making your own.

Yeah I know you can buy a pedal from Dave for 55$, but I would like to get into making my own pedals and isn`t an expression or a volume pedal a good place to start???? regards,

Yep making an expression pedal is a great place to start..It is a shame the expression pedals don`t turn the clone units off the way the originals did.Like the vibrachorus that has a relay switch inside.Maybe better if not as good as true bypass?..

problem with expression/volume/wah pedals. Otherwise, yeah, they`re good because they`re pretty simple.
