My leccy guitar has a problem

When I turn the volume on one of the pickups up to top it cuts out or crackles until I fiddle with the knob

I remeber hearing solutions to this without rewiring, is it a spray or something?

I use Radio Shack "Tuner Control Cleaner and Lubricant" part no:
64-4315 although there are many variations. Spray from the wiring back side and use the little straw that comes with it to get right in on the turning part of your pot and then turn the pot to work it back at forth into the control.

If that doesn't get it you have a damaged pot and will have to change it out.
It is a wretched taste to be gratified with mediocrity when the excellent lies before us.
