Can anyone tell me the difference between these two models .I just bought a 1987 Model 6 and now I have the opportunity to buy a 1986
Model 4 nad I don't know what the difference is between them. both japaneese (I think) and they look the same any info would be greatly aprreciated thanks

Actually, as best as I can recall.... the Mod 6 was neck through construction with some active tone circuits... the Mod 4 was bolt-on neck with all passive electronics. There may have been a few other minor differences. The Mod 6 was considered top of the line at the time.

The Model 4 DOES have active electronics, but its definitely a bolt on neck.
