Celestion Greenback / V30 in a Blues Junior?

Anyone have any good/bad experiences replacing the stock Eminence in a Blues Junior with a Greenback or a V30? Just trying to tweak my well-worn BJ's sound.

The V30's sound great in my Rivera Quiana, just thought they'd sound good in my BJ.

Now how about tube replacemement suggestions for the BJ?

Does it wind up sounding like a VOX after you do that?

I'm curious about the Marhsall DSL2000.

It's small, does it work out ok for low volume practice in an apartment if you turn down the master volume?

I've been considering the VOX Valvetronix (because they have a 1 Watt output option) but I'm open to a more real solution.

Celestion too.

Any amp with a computer in it (any modeler) wont last forever.

And anything with any kind of modeling is still going to make you wish you had a *real* amp.

Speakers are very important for good amp tone and they effect the tone quite a lot.
I have the little Marshall JCM2000 DSL 20W combo, which came with a crappy low end Celestion with tiny magnet. I replaced it with a
Greenback. Great vintage sound, but a little sweet with early speaker breakup. I may have been happier buying a V30.

I have a home built 2x10" Jensen reissue open back cabinet for my 64
Blackface Bassman Amp. I built a parallel/serial switch into the cab, so that I can switch between 4 Ohm (Bassman) and 16 Ohm (Marshall).
When I use the cabinet with my DSL2000 the Marshall almost sounds like a
Fender amp. Amazing what the speakers can do!
