I've been looking for a tremolo pedal for my pedalboard for some time now.
My good old Schaller is too big (Supatrem size) and doesn't give fast enough speed for some more extreme gigs I play. Currently the Boss TR-2 with a Analog Man or Keeley mod is on the top of my list because the pedal is small and cheaper than the other contender (Demeter Tremulator), even with the mods and shipping costs.

All mods I've come across deal mainly with volume loss of a stock TR-2.
Analog Man offers a $45 mod (http://www.analogman.com/boss.htm#tr2) that makes it "sound just like the tremolo in my '66 Fender Deluxe Reverb amp".

Then there's a $55 Keeley mod (http://www.robertkeeley.com/product.php?id=26) that adds a volume control to balance between the tremolo and bypassed signal.

A Swedish company StinkFoot offers a TR-2 mod (http://www.stinkfoot.se/english/mods/tr2mod_en.htm) that adds a switch with three preset output levels.

Any comments on these mods? I'm a happy Analog Man customer with two of his superb pedals but the extra volume control on Keeley's mod makes it rather interesting. How do they compare soundwise? My main use is "classic
Fender tremolo" but sometimes I have a need for a hard square wave machine gun stutter. Is Boss TR-2 with either mod going to give me these things?
