I'm about to buy a MIM Strat and I just wanna make sure it's not a rebranded Squire.

Anybody have any tips to make sure it's the real deal?

I just want to make sure somebody didn't replace the decals and serial number to try and fool me.

You should email Fender and ask if the serial number corresponds with the model you are thinking of buying.

Watch out for the infamous Mexican Fender "Squiers Series" models have the "Fender" in all black. People sand away the small "Squier Series" logo at the end of the headstock. That all black logo gives it away!
