I bought a couple of wesleys on ebay,1 for a m8,for his sons birthday+1 for myself (took advantage of post saving on 2 purchases).I have to say i was impresssed by the vee+ended up buying one for 52 quid on auction+keepin the telecaster i bought originally. As they are built 2 the original specs they are easily retro fitted with better parts if need be.
Ebay helps there too-not many guitar "beakers" are there lol? so its great lookin for stuff, right down to individual screws,i replaced the trem+ pick ups on mine for more expensive ones, think the trem+guides were tokai+ the pick ups 2 doubles were usa made +the action was instantly lowered+the power now is great,no buzzing at all+im well pleased with itdid get the 6 string banjo but sold that for the simple economic principle-the dude paid me more than it cost!cost me 88 quid with postage included+sold for £ 120.they sound good but action is 2 high+obviously the banjo sound isnt for everyone but can help with picking, speed picking+ is great fun at parties etc.Wesley do well on ebay, well over 20 thousand sales 100 % feedback (b4 last aprils cull anyway)& they are made in the uk.There are 3 dozen good guitar makers in the uk+some tried on ebay but i think wesley cornered the market for cheaper new instruments.Really hope they do the 7 string soon, love to try one but they are expensive even for a bad one.Am in early stages of building one also,I am torn between floyd+motorhead as they are both my fave bands+my 1st ever gig was opein nite of the ace of spades tour in ipswich waaayyyyy back in 1980+id like to try a spade with the skull inside+possibley a spade headstock+ if not 2 absured either spades or skulls as machine heads -body ill be ok with, neck ios a problem as my woodworkin often resembles my cooking!!!!
anyway ello 2 you all+let me have any build tips+wesley owners, cheers
