Does anybody have any good recommendations for a good, inexpensive (under $100US) analog delay? I`m mainly wanting it for a rockabilly slapback sound. I`d really rather have an actual tape delay unit, but I can`t find one for under $200US(yes, i`ve checked Ebay) so any help there is appreciated. Thanks

If you just want to get the slapback sound, the DOD FX-90 sounds good and is cheap on eBay.

Those are affordable, though they darken your guitar`s tone. I found mine to be too much a labor of love than an object of affection. Though if I found an RE-301 space echo, it would be an affair to remember!

Analog pedals seem to go for 140-150 used on harmony central. The Dano is the cheap alternative

digital, but sounds like analog. One issue: when you run it with an a/c adapter, you hear a *faint* delay even with the pedal off. Not a big deal to me, but it may be to you. Ed.

I picked up a not-working Ibanez CD10 Delay Champ on eBay for cheap. It was easy to fix with a drop of solder (there`s a design flaw in the 10 series). It works perfectly, but because of the design flaw, I would only use it on a pedalboard or other situation where I didn`t have to plug and unplug cables. It`s a great-sounding analog delay with 300ms. I might be willing to part with it. Let me know.

Yeah, if you`re lucky enough to find a good deal locally, you can get a pretty good deal sometimes. I picked up a Boss DM-3 for $45 once, at a shop even.
