ive been playing bass through a V-4 head and cab for over a year now, but am wondering what the difference between the v-4 guitar amp and the v-4b bass amp are? would i be able to use a V-4B with a V-4 cab? how much louder is a v-4b than a v-4 with a bass?

thanks much!

The V4 input sensitivity switch can be set for more gain on the input stage than a V4-B provides. This means the amp's input is easier to overload, which can be useful. The V4-B has an ultra low switch not found on the V4. The ultra high circuit on both is implemented differently and someone with golden ears could probably tell the difference. Having owned/played both, imo, the V4-B ultra low is useless and the V4 input sensitivity is extremely useful.
