Hi
I have a Kustom HV-65, and would like to get a better amp. I play mainly 80's style metal, but also dabble in cleaner sounds every now and then. I don't often have to take it places, since I play purely for my own joy these days, so mobility isn't a huge issue.
What would you suggest I checked out, and why?
Thanks

Hi Jenny, There is so much to choose from these days and many that I personally have not tested as I don't play pro now ....However. Fender, Line6. Peavey. Vox, Marshall All have decent amps in your price range...I have advised others and will also advise you to go to your music store and take "Your" ax with you, tell them what you want price wise and play as many amps as possible checking out the various pro's and con's of each until you find one that "You" really like. Don't be persuaded by salesmen get what you want.... Since like me you only play at home now you don't really need anything very powerfull For instance I use a Peavey "Envoy" 110 which is fine for home, from my point of view. I tend to play clean most of the time. To have a look outwardly at some of the models here are a couple of sites...
