I am presently using Martin MSP4000 Phosphor Bronze acoustic guitar strings 0.010 - 0.047 dia on my Mertin 000X1 guitar. I play mostly strumming songs on my acoustic and the above strings don't sound all that great to me. With the millions of various strings out there to pick from can anyone out their recommend excellent acoustic guitar strings for strumming songs on an acoustic? Hope ya'll can save me some money from experimenting (poking and hoping).
Thanks,
kcbuck
P.S. I'm very happy with my Fender Super Bullets but the Gibson Brite Wires will be replaced as a couple of the high strings (B and e string) sound tinny to me. Has anyone else noticed this tinny sound?

Hi KC I think you are about right with the gauge, having said that its personal once again.....Here is a site with a few options you can think about,

http://www.newstrings.co.uk/acatalog/ ACOUSTIC_GUITAR_STRINGS.html

Fenderphil....I personally for what its worth (Zilch) used Rotosound for many years but its getting guitar and string combination right.

Thanks Phil, but I was asking for a recommendation from acoustic players on the strings they like and the quality of tone. Anyone out there have a preference on acoustic strings that they like the tone of with strumming (chord) songs? If so please forward the manufacturers name and type of strings so that I may try them rather than hunting and pecking with all the various types and brands.
Thanks,
kcbuck
